DUNDAS STREET METHODISTS
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS CONCLUDED. Tlie celebrations in connection with the fiftieth anniversary' of the Dundas Street Methodist Church were concluded at the week-end. On Saturday night there was an attendance l of about 1.50 at the social gathering of Sunday school pupils, which was held in the church hall. The evening was pleasantly occupied with games and competitions, and there was a short musical programme. Songs were contributed by Mr F. Parker and Miss N. Wilkie, and Mrs G. Heath gave an elocutionary item. The jubilee services were concluded yesterday, when the Rev. S. Bailey, of Invercargill, occupied the pulpit at both morning and evening services. A feature of the evening was the singing of an exSunday school pupjls’ choir of about 40 voices. Mrs A. Burton sang a solo, and Mrs Sparrow and Miss Shepard gave a duct; The whole celebrations have been very successful.
