Berlin’s new special court to deal with offences against the traffic regulations is presided over by a judge, who took post tions as a tram conductor and a motor driver to qualify. Dr Fritz Khronheim is the judge, and the court deals with all if fractions of the traffic regulations, and nor merely motoring offences. ' After n course at a training school, Dr Kronheim was granted a conductor’s license and a motor driver’s license by the municipality, and worked at both occupatioi.s before inaugurating the new court on New Day. He is said to be the only judge in the world so qualified.
