BARKER SENTENCED

LONDON, April 25, The woman Barker wag sentenced to nine ■ months’ imprisonment in the second division. In passing sen tence the Recorder said: ” You are an unprincipled, mendacious, and unscrupulous adventuress. You have profaned the House of God and outraged the decencies of Nature.' The least punishment you have earned is nine months." Barker bowed to the Recorder, and with a faint smile passed to the cells.—Australian Press Association —United Service.
