The Land Board concluded its sitting yesterday, when there were present Messrs m i Galbraith (chairman), C. J. Inder, A- Mnnro, G. Livingstone, and J. R. M Culloch. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. Wilfred James King and Ernest Henry ■King applied for a renewable lease over sections 92a, 92b, and 92c, block I, Awainoko Subdivision, area 70 acres 1 rood 38 poles, John Johnston also applied for the same area.—Land to be offered for selection by ballot on the optional system at a capital value of £635. Matthew M'Cubbin applied for a renewable lease over section 28, block IV, Lauder S.P., area 12 acres 2 roods II P°Jes.—Granted at a capital value of £7O. Charles Robert Attfield applied to purchase sections 34, 35, 36, and 70, block I. Leaning Rock S.D., area 36 acres 1 rood 3o poles.—Granted at the advertised capital value. W. Section 6, block XIV, Benger S.D.—Resolved to fix the rental at 5 per cent, on the unimproved value in accordance with yip. recommendation of the appraiser (Field Inspector Bailey), and to offer the a renewal at an annual rental of £45 10s. The board was asked to consider the question of the determination of miscellaneous license No. 2714 over parts sections 3 and 12, block IV, Kurow Survey District, in the name of John Trotter.— License determined a s from April 10, 1929. lS6\v license to be issued to Frances jMay Cameron on the same conditions. SURRENDER OP MISCELLANEOUS LICENSE. H. DISBURSEMENT OF IMPROVEMENT MONEY. The board was asked to authorise the disbursement of the valuation for improvements paid in by the successful appheant for lot 3, Last Chance Irrigation Block.—Received land revenue to be authorised to disburse the money. RESCISSION OF RESOLUTION. The board was asked to rescind its resolution of March 13, 1929, declaring forteited J. F. Thomson’s lease over section 4, block VIII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District.—Resolution rescinded. RESIDENCE CONDITION. The board was asked to consider the case Ahce C°rson, the lessee of run 339 d, Bannockburn Survey District, and Leaning Rock Survey District, regarding non-residence.—Lessee to be called upon to show cause at the next meeting why the lease should not be declared forfeited.
