A BUSY YEAR. STATEMENT BY MANAGER. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 11. Passenger bookings from the different agencies for the year ended 51 arch 31 show that the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts took in cash £206.073. an increase of £16,349 compared with (lie previous year. The bookings from the allied department (Railways) amounted to £71,292, an increase of £7559. “It was only in 1911,” states the general manager (Mr B. M. Wilson) in a letter to the Prime Minister, “ that the system of'booking tours through New Zealand was established, and this information may prove useful when other people say we are not doing enough, and that they could do it so much better.”
