PENINSULA HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of members o£ tno Peninsula Horticultural Society was hold at Portobello on Wednesday evening. There was a fair attendance of members, and a strong working committee was appointed for the coming year. The following is a list of oTice-bcarers: —President, Mr W. J. Bennett (reelected) ; vice-president, Mr J. S. M'Cartncy and Mrs Broadlcy; auditor, Mr J. J. M'Cartney; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Seaton; committee—Mcsdames J. H. Seaton, J, Murray, F>. Arnott, W. A. Seaton, JR, Church, Misses E. and M. M'Cartney, Messrs D. Arnott, J. Miller, S. Miller, G. E. Woodhead, P. W. Moss. The subscription for the year was fixed at 2s Ou, It was decided that the shows during the next year bo held on September 21 and February 22, 1030.
