A BARQUENTINE BURNED

(Received Feb. 15, at 11.45 p.m.) The last of the fleet of barquehtines trading between Sydney and the South Seas, the steel vessel Alexa, which was registered in Wellington, was burned to water’s edge and beached at Butaritari, Gilbert Islands. -Advice received in Sydney states that the fire swept the Alexa from stem, to stern.
