(Received Peb.'lß, at 11 p.m.) The Earl of Birkenhead, commenting on.the news from New York on his connection with the Anglo-American . electricity, deal through his acceptance of the chairmanship of the Greater London and Counties .Trust Ltd., which ■ controls seven leading power companies, say* it seems clear that industrial prosperity bears a definite relation to tie cost of electrical energy. It was proposed to make a complete analysis of the Acts of Parliament pertaining to the electrical industry, with a view to simplifying the conditions relating to the supply of energy on uniform standard lines throughput the Country. He adds that the organisation with which he has associated himself is British, although associated with the Clarke interests of America through the Utility Power Light Corporation.—Australian Press Association —United Service.
