SPECIAL ADVERTISEMENTS. PURE FOOD REGULATIONS REFERRING TO SODA 'FOUNTAINS. Notification of Particular, where Food is sold otherwise than in Packages.' Sub-clause (2) of Regulation 4. Where any beverage is sold to the purchaser for consumption on the premises in which it is sold, the person selling such beverage shall keep posted conspicuously on the walla of that part of the premises in which the sale takes place a notice or such number of notices as an officer may direct, upon which are written in letters which may be easily read at a distance of fifteen feet the particulars as to such beverage required in paragraph (cl of sub-clause (11, clause 2, of the regulations, which reads as follows:—“ Such particulars as to the presence in the beverages of any preservatives, artificial flavourings, artificial colourings.” A further notice including in its contents such particulars written in bold-faced sansserif capitals of not less than six points face-men n-ementl . and in such colours as to afford a distinct colour contrast to the ground on which they are written shall be kept upon every table or counter at which such beverage is .intended to be served or consumed. Penalties for Breaches. Regulation 87. Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with, any provision of the regulations, or ' sells any food or drug contained in a package which is not .labelled as prescribed by the regulations, shall be liable on conviction to a penalty of not more than fifty pounds, and for a continuing offence not more than two pounds for every day during which the offence shall bo continued.
