PUBLIC TRUST PICNIC.

The annual picnic of the Public Trust staff was held at Brighton yesterday under favourable weather conditions. A large gathering enjoyed the varied attractions of the popular resort. An extensive sports programme was accorded strong support, and close finishes wore the order of the day. Arrangments for the comfort and enjoyment of those who attended had been carefully planned, and it was a happy and tired throng which motored back to town at the close of an enjoyable day. The events for the Graham Challenge Cup were keenly contested, the estates division retaining the trophy by a nar-row margin. The thanks of the committee are duo to Messrs Arthur Barnett and A. and J. Watts for donations. Results; —
