(Received Feb. 13, at 6,5 p.m.) Acting on the suggestion of Mr Cosgrave (President of the Free State) that De Valera should be relascd purely as an act of grace, the Minister for Home Affairs for Northern Ireland (Sir Richard Bates) offered him his freedom, conditional upon necessary undertakings king given. De Valera rigidly refused, and so will remain in gaol.—Australian Press Association,
