A FATAL COLLISION.
MOTOR CAR AND LORRY. ]
DRIVER OF CAR KILLED.
FATHER AND MOTHER INJURED/

TIMAEU, December 13, A collision between a motor car and a lorry on the Main South road about four miles from Waimate this evening, was attended by serious consequences, the driver of: the car being tilled instantaneously, and his _ passengers receiving injuries! , The driver of the car was William' Alfred Charles Broad, aged 21, a grocer’s. assistant of Geraldine. Mr, W. H. Broad, father of the deceased, also of Geraldine* received facial injuries and abrasions; Mrs Broad, mother of the deceased, a broken 'collarbone and' severe cuts. ’
The accident took place at 6.50 p.tn. on the main road at the approach to the Deep Creek bridge. . ‘ The lorry was driven by W. T. Wood, of Waimate. The car continued for 16 yards after the impact, and crashed through a six-wire rail fence. It then covered a further six yards, finally going over a 14-fobt bank. .The car was not overturned, but the driver was found siting at the wheel with his neck broken. The injured were attended to by Dr Shackleton, of Waimate.
