To obtain recognition of their union in negotiations, about 600 tailors and tailoresscs, employed in an Edmonton factory, England, recently struck work. The girls marched through the streets with a white banner on which, painted with their lipsticks, was the announcement that they were fighting for . trade union -principles. The strikers held a meeting at the town hall, and after dis cussing their grievances, indulged in singing and dancing. The secretary of tin company declared that the object of tin dispute was to enforce 100 per cent union membership in the factory. O t behaii of the workers' union it was statethat there had been a change of policy with regard to recognition, and that the company refused to negotiate with them.
