The aeroplane must now be fitted with skis. An accident occurred during the transferring of the two aeroplanes from the ship, when the aeroplane Los Angeles had her propeller and wings, damaged. The machine came down beautifully, but the wheels struck a hole; in Hhe- ice, through which it sank until the wings and fuselage held it.
