TAIERI RIVER TRUST.

The monthly meeting'of the Taieri/ River Trust was held at Mosgiel yesterday morning. There were present Messrs sadcl (chairman), Evans, Blackie. Kcmpshell, Moore,'Marshall, and TVyllie. The inspector’s report for the month was read and adopted. Miss A. Campbell wrote requesting the trust to clean out the drain at the Con-' tour Hut, and to fill up a hole at the drain pipe.—It was decided to accede to the request. It was resolved that the classification should be adopted and signed .by the chairman, and deposited at the office of the trust for public inspection. The meeting authorised the necessary steps for application for a land transfer title to sections 9 and 14, block IV Outram, which were in the possession of the trust.

The question of employees leaving their work to engage in blade shearing was discussed at length. It was pointed out that those who had left their work had put unemployed men in their place. There should bo no question of a man bolding two jobs at once. The previous resolution of the trust prohibiting such practice must be observed, and a vote of censure was passed on those members of the trust who bad given their consent to the breach.
