In the Magistrate’s Court, Douglas Thomas Rodgers was sentenced to three months’ hard labour on seven charges of fai;.o pretences and issuing valueless cheques. Thomas Joseph Spalding was sentenced to two months’ on a charge of obtaining goods by false pretences at Okato and Palmerston North. CHRISTCHURCH, October 10.
