According to the annual issue of the organ of the Society of Motor Manufacturers, the output of British motor cars was more than doubled between 1923 and 1927. The figures rose from 06,390 to 157.000. There was an equally striking increase in the manufacture of commercial cars, which rose from 21,004 to 52.000. ' , ;V1
