NEW ZEALAND TEST TEAM. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 2. The New Zealand League team to meet England here in the first test on Saturday is:— Full-back, Dufty (Auckland); threequarters—Hardgrave, List, and L. Scott (all of Auckland); five-eighths, Wetherill and Prentice (both of Auckland); halfback, Delgrosso (Auckland); forwards— Hutt, Somers, J. O’Brien (all of Auckland), M. O’Brien (West Coast), Timms (South Auckland), V. Goodall (Buller). Reserves.—Backs—Eckhoff (Otago), Peckham (Auckland). Spillane (Canterbury); forwards—Hall (Auckland), Townsend (Otago), Calder (Buller). REPLACING INJURED PLAYERS. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 2. At a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby League Council to-night it was decided to replace injured players in the test match on Saturday. The English managers attended the meeting, and stated that their team could not adopt this practice because of the rules in vogue in England. Australia also did not replace players.
