HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
“'ARCHIE.” The “ Archie ” Company drew another very large, audience to His Majesty’s Theatre last night, when the performance of the bright musical comedy again won the full appreciation of all present. Mias Elsie Prince, the leading lady, has plenty of opportunities to prove her worth as a vivacious actress of many parts, and in her solo work and also in her duets with Mr Godden she achieved a high standard of artistic merit. The part of Archie Cobb was in the capable hands of Mr Godden, and the popular comedian made Archie a very amusing fellow -indeed. Mr Leonard Rich, Mr Charlton Morton, bliss Elsie Parkcs, and bliss Nellie Dean lent able assistance to their principals. The company has two very fine dancers in Koyston M’Donald and Bell Porter, and the work of the ballets is also very effective. Nothing is Jacking on the score of settings, and altogether “ Archie ” is a most attractive musical comedy. “ Archie ” will be staged neain to-night.
