WORLD DISARMAMENT
THE RUSSIAN PROPOSALS. AMERICAN DELEGATE’S VIEWS. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, April 9. (Received April 10, at 10 p.m.) Admiral Hilary Jones has returned from Geneva. Ho intimated that, while he was unwilling to be quoted it was his opinion that many of the major 'nations participating in the Arms Conference took the Russian proposals for total disarmament seriously, and believed that they were advanced as a real attempt to solve the problem discussed. He indicated that he deplored the fact that other nations scoffed at the ideas advanced, but ho declined to discuss the matter further. He added that ho would proceed to Washington immediately to make his report.—Australian Press Association.
