The Gale sailed last night for Oamaru, Tlmaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Plcton, and Wanganui. The Progress, which arrived here late on Sunday night from Wellington, sailed last evening for Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato. The Oplhl sailed at noon yesterday for Port Craig to load a quantity of timber. She Is due back here about Friday to load general cargo for Wellington and West* port. , The Storm is due at Dunedin to-day from Lyttelton to load general cargo for Tlmaru, Lyttelton. Wellington, and Wanganui. The Kaituna Is due at Dunedin to-mor-row from Westport, via Bluff, to discharge a quantity of coal. The Kanna Is due here to-morrow from Wellington. She will lo&d general cargo here and at Timaru and Plcton for Auckland. . , The Kurow, from Auckland, was expected to leave Lyttelton last night for Timaru and Dunudln. She should arrive to-morrow, and after discharging a quantity of general cargo will proceed to Bluff. The Wingatul is expected to leave Auckland to-morrow with general cargo for discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Piako was to leave Bluff yesterday for Tlmaru, to proceed with her loading for New York and London. The Makura, from Sydney, via Wellington, and Rarotonga, left Papeete at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. April 3, for San Francisco, where she la due off April 13. The Canterbury Steamship Company’s Breeze arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday morning from Wanganui for slight repairs and renovations necessary after the fire In one of her holds last week. The cargo was discharged at Wanganui. The steamer Buchanness, which left Port Arthur, Texas, on March 9, Is expected to arrive at Auckland on April 13. She has a full cargo of petroleum products, part of which will be discharged at Auckland, and the remainder at Australian ports. THE MELBOURNE STEAMERThe Union Company advises that the Manuka ia timed to leave Melbourne at 10 a.m, to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton and Duhedin with passengers, mails, and cargo. She is due here on April 19, and is scheduled to sail the following day for Bluff and Melbourne. _ CARGO PROM AUSTRALIA. Advice received by the Union Company slates that the Karetu left Sydney at 7 p.m. on Saturday last with general cargo for discharge at Lyttelton, Oamaru, Dunedin and Bluff, She is due at this port on Saturday. SUSSEX FROM CALCUTTA. Advice received by the Union Company states that the Sussex left Calcutta last Friday morning for Singapore and Samarang to complete loading Eastern merchandise for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland early in May and at Dunedin about May 18. PORT ALBANY FROM NEW YORK. The O. and D, Line steamer Port Albany is expected to leave Wellington to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin to discharge the remainder of her general cargo from Now York. She should reach this port on Friday. lONIC FROM ENGLAND. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Line steamer lonic arrived at Auckland yesterday from London and Southampton, via Panama, With passengers and cargo. The vessel will proceed later to Wellington to complete discharge. TURAKINA FROM LIVERPOOL. En route from Liverpool to Now Zealand, the Now Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Turakina ia reported to have cleared Colon on April 2. She is due at Auckland on April 24. Her other porta of discharge are Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. WEST CONOB FROM PACIFIC COAST. The American steamer West Cottob is to leave Wellington towards the end of this week for Dunedin, Bluff and Adelaide to discharge the remainder cf her Pacific Coast cargo. She will later return to the Pacific Coast, leaving Los Angeles again for Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton on July 30. PORT ADELAIDE’S ITINERARY. The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Adelaide will leave New Plymouth to-morrow to load at Wanganui, Gisborne, Wellington and Port Chalmers. She is to sail from Port Chalmers on May 2 for London, via Las Palmas. ROUGH TRIP FROM CHATHAMS. After one of the roughest trips she has experienced for years the Chathams Island steamer Tees arrived at Lyttelton at 4 a.m* on Saturday from the Islands over 24 hours late. The vessel left the Chathams at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, and on the follow, ing day encountered a heavy south-easterly gale. She made little headway until Thursday morning, being hove to for part of the time. The Tees brought a number of passengers, all of whom had a most uncomfortable time during the gale.
