TENDERS. piXEAPPLE CANNING MACHINERY. Scaled Tenders, to be addressed to Secretary, Tenders Committee, H.M. Government, Suva, Fiji, are invited for the purchase of the following, now in Pineapple Cannery at Suva: (a) Pineapple Canning Machinery, exclusive of two Boilers and Can-making Plant and Fittings, etc. (b) Boxes, Crates, and General Cannery Stores, (c) Two Boilers. Machiery for Sale does not include Can-making Plant. This Machinery is held on lease, which can be transferred subject to owner’s consent, to the purchaser of the Canning Machinery. Terms of Lease are available on application to the Department of Agriculture, Fiji. Successful Tenderer will be required to remove Machinery at his own expense within two months of the date of acceptance of his tender, but a proposal for the use of buildings now used as the Cannery will receive consideration, and if the continued use by a successful Tenderer of the building for the purpose of a Cannery is arranged, this stipulation will be waived accordingly. Full details and authority for inspection of the Machinery, etc., may be obtained on application to the Department of Agriculture, Fiji. Alternative tenders will be received for purchase of the Machinery, exclusive of two Boilers and Can-making Plant, and two 20 h.p. Electric Motors. Highest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Tenders close at NOON, March 15, 1928, but application for extension of closing date to a later date will be considered, and should be addressed to Secretary, Tenders Committee.
