INVERCARGILL REGATTA. DUNEDIN CREWS’ SUCCESSES. (Special to Daily Times.j INVERCARGILL, March 11. The -visiting Otago crews were oustandingly successful at the Invercargill regatta held on the Oreti River yesterday, the two clubs represented (Port Cftalrners and Queen’s Drive) securing the bulk of the prize money on offer. Between them they annexed six of the rowing events (including the two principal races), and also accounted for five seconds and five thirds. They won prize money totalling £3O. The course was in splendid order and quite unaffected by the adverse weather conditions. Consequently some good times were registered. A noticeable feature of the contests was the marked superiority of the visiting oarsmen, as in practically every race they won, the winning margin was a big one, and oould have been considerably increased. About 5000 persons attended and gave the visitors a splendid hearing. The following are the results of the rowing events: — , _ , filaiden Double Sculls. One mile.—Port Chalmers (C. Graniond s, C.
