THE IRAQ BORDER
STORIES OF ARAB RISINGS. REGARDED, AS EXAGGERATED. nPTCII Association—By Telegraph —Copyright) LONDON, March 9. (Received March 9, at 10 p.m.) Official quarters in London regard the stories and threats of Arab risings in Iraq and Transjordania as much exaggerated. They pqint out that Ibn Sand’s reported intention of shortly visiting Mesca minimises apprehension, because Ibn would never leave the capital if he was brewing trouble. The indications are that the Dominions Office is r-eady to discuss* with Ibn matters he thinks need redress. —A. and N.Z. Cable. ,
NO RECENT RAIDS. LONDON, March 9. (Received March 9. at 10 p.m.)
Mr L. S. ’Amcry, in reply to a question, said that there had been no -further Wahabi raids on Iraq since February 19. It was questionable whether the guilty tribesmen still acknowledged the sovereignty of Ibn Sand.—A. and N.Z. and Sydney Sun Cable.
