The Kamona was to leave Auckland yesterday with general cargo for discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The local office of the Huddart-Parker Company has received advice that the Ulimaroa, on account of survey," will leave Wellington for Sydney on Thursday, March 8, instead of Friday, March 9. Owing to April 6 being Good Friday, she will leave Wellington for Sydney on April 5. Line’s chartered steamer Cly of Bath is due at Auckland this morning from New York, via Newport News and Panama. The vessel Is bringing American cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Tasmanian, and Australian ports. She Is expected to arrive at Dunedin about February 16. EJARANGA TO LEAVE LONDON. The Shaw-Savill steamer Raranga is to leave London on February 22 with general cargo for discharge at Suva, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, New Plymouth and Nelson. She is due at Port Chalmers about April 4. IKALA PROM CANADA. The Ikala is expected to arrive at Auckabout February 26 from Eastern Canadian ports. All well.” NEW MOTOR SHIP SAWOKLA. , With several passengers from America, the new Roosevelt Line motor ship Sawokla arrived at Melbourne on January 20 from New York on her maiden voyage. The ship is of 5878 tons, and was built in 1920 for the United States Shipping Board. Passenger accommodation is provided for about 20 persons. The master (Captain T. The Roosevelt Steamship Company has decided to inaugurate a new monthly cargo service between New Orleans (U.S.A.) and Australian ports. The steamer West Loquassuck will leave New Orleans on Februarv 15. Eighteen months ago the Roosevelt Company decided to enter the New York-Aua-tralian trade, with vessels of the United States Shipping Board. A monthly service was at first maintained, but with the increased cargoes offering, it was considered advisable to despatch steamers from New York at more frequent intervals, and vessels of the line now leave for Australian ports fortnightly. Although the ehimnente to Australia were satisfactory, insufficient cargoes were obtained for the return trip, and the service was extended to India.
