AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Frew Association—B- Telegraph—tJopvrighf ) SYDNEY, January 30. (Received Jan. 30, at 11.25 p.m.) At the Australian Tennis Championships in the singles Borotra beat Sproule (New South Wales), 6—2, 6 —o. 6—3. In the doublets Boussus and Kalms beat Colvin and Sproule (New South Wales), 6—l, 6 '*), 6 4. The courts were fast and true. Borotra, who was in his usual irresistible form, took the net at every opportunity. At the start of the game the pace forced him into occasional errors, but he soon settled down and played a careful, aggressive volleying game.
