DAMAGES FROM FIANCE.
GIRL AND INJURED FACE. Miss Ivv Inez Jared, a secretary, was awarded £IOO damages at the Liverpool Countv Court recently, against Cyril E, Thomas, to whom she is engaged, for injuries received in a motor car accident when defendant was driving her home on September 17. Miss Jared’s solicitor said that her head went through the windscreen, and she was thrown on the road. She had scars on her face which might be permanent. Miss Jared stated in evidence that she was still engaged to Mr Thomas, and went to church with him on Sunday. “ I brought the action,” she said, “because I want my face put right.”
