ASTRONOMICAL NOTES FOR FEBRUARY, 1928.
THE SUN. The sun’s path during the month of February will be in R.A. from 20.55.26 to 22.44.55 and in south declination from 17.22.6 to 7.56.47. It will be in longitude from 311,23.47 to 339.40.16. Its path will lie in Capricornus and Aquarius. THE MOONThe phases of the moon will be as follows: — Full moon .. 6th 7.41 a.in. Last quarter 14th 6.35 a.m. Now moon .. 21st 9.11 p.m. First quarter 28th 2.51 p.m. Apogee .. 13th 3.36 a.m. Perigee .. 24th 11.0 p.m. THE PLANETS. Mercury will be in R.A. from 21.58.12 to 22.2.49 and in south declination from 13.24.2 to 8.27.28. It will be at its greatest elongation on the 9th, and will be stationary on the 15th. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 21st and in inferior conjunction with the sun on the 24th. Venus will be in R.A. from 18.18.3 to 20.43.22 and in south declination from 22.8.3 to 18.24.11. It will be in conjunction with Mars on the 14th and with the moon on the 18th. Mars will be in R.A. from 18.43.21 to 20.13.28 and in south declination from 23.42.1 to 20.52.8. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 18th. Jupiter will be in R.A. from 0.8.20 to 0,30.12 and in declination from _0.22.30 south to 2.2.56 north. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 23rd. Saturn will be in R.A. from 17.2.30 to 17.10.26 and in south declination from 21.13.54 to 21.21.50. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 15th. Uranus will be in conjunction with the moon on the 23rd, and Neptune will he in conjunction with the moon on the 6th.
