(From Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, January 26. The correct weight of the fat sheep at the Palmerston show was 20541 b. Mr o. A. Payne, Waikouaiti, guessed the correct weight, and received £1; 15s was divided between Mrs Pennington and Messrs S. Snushall and D. Cameron, with 2061 b each, and Mr J. Tunna, with 2051 b. The Walker Cup matches were continued on Saturday in ideal weather. Edievale defaulted to Beaumont, and Miller’s Flat secured a two-point win against Heriot. On Saturday next the Tuapeka County eleven wil play a Morris Cup challenge match against South Otago (holders) at Milton. Th.s will be Tuapeka’s initial representative matcli.
