A catch of 200 rats in one night is the claim put forward for a new trap invented by the rat officer for Fulham, London. The main idea is a rope stretched over a dustbin full of water, which induces the rats to perform “ a Blondin act,” but when they are nearly across another device causes them to overbalance into the water.
