ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
THE TROUBLE IN CANTERBURY, 1 (Special to Daily Times.} CHRISTCHURCH. January 24. Something is in the wind that may effect great changes in the control and administration of Association football e in Canterbury. For years past there ha s been dissatisfaction among the clubs. The trouble which last season seemed aggravated has culminated in a privately-called meeting of representatives of the clubs, held last evening. The meeting resolved that each club should be approached for the nomination of suitable men to take seats on the executive of the Canterbury Football Association, the qualifications of nominees to be reviewed at a future meeting prior to the annual meeting of the association. It was stated that there was every likelihood of Sunnysido, the one-time champion team, which last season forsook Association football for Rugby, socking re-admission to the code. A delegate said that the club was anxious to get back to the old code. “ They are dissatisfied with Rugby up at the institution,” he said. <( It will never take on there, never. lam perfectly certain that if an inclination is shown in the future for a better feeling all round and among the clubs, and if all past prejudices are dropped, Sunnysido will come in again of the other clubs want it*"
