A SPLENDID SEND-OFF. MANY INDIANS IN THE CROWD. (British Official Wireless.) (Press Association— By Telegraph—OopyrighM RUGBY, January 19. The departure of the Indian Commission was attended by an unusual demonstration. Several Hundred people were assembled at Victoria Station. Mr Baldwin, the Earl of Birkenhead, Viscount Pee (former Secretary for India), Earl Win terton (Under-secretary for India), and £ large number of members of Parliament oi aU parties were present. Sir John Simor expressed his thanks for the splendic send-off. A great cheer was raised wher the train moved off, Cabinet Minister! joining in. There were many Indians h the crowd. A TREMENDOUS TASK. The Earl of Birkenhead (Secretary foi India), speaking at the luncheon of the Association of British Chambers of Com merce, referred to the commission which headed by Sir John Simon, left Londor to-day for India to investigate there tin subject of constitutional reforms.
