(Received Dec. 27, at 5.5 p.m.) In the Australasian Singles Bowling Championship there were 1170 competitors Three rounds have been played and 255 are still eligible. The following New Zealanders were successful in the firet three rounds:—C. Piper and E. Thomas. In the consolation singles G. Clark (New Zealand) won the first two rounds. Mr W. Lyon has been appointed manager of the Victorian bowling team to visit New Zealand in February. WRESTLING. ANDERSON DISQUALIFIED. (Peb United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 27. The professional contest between Louis Pergantas, of Greece, and Erni e Anderson, New Zealand, ended sensationally last’ night, when the latter, who had been repeatedly warned for punching, was disqualified toward the end of the fifth rouna and Pergantas was awarded the bout.
