CHRISTMAS IN AMERICA
THE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE. (Frew Association—By Telegraph—Copyng&t.) WASHINGTON, December 24. (Received Dec. 26, at 5.5 p.m.) President Coolidge issued the following Christmas message to the American people:—“Christmas is no time or season, but a state of mind to cherish peace and goodwill. To be plenteous in mercy is to have the real spirit of Christmas. If we think of these things there will be born in us the Saviour and over us will shine a star sending its gleam of hope to the world.”—A. and N.Z. Cable.
