borough council notices. JJOROUGH OF ST. KILDA. SPECIAL ORDER RAISING OF AUTHORISING THE SPECIAL LOAN. Pursuant to the provisions of ‘ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council, called for the purpose and held at the Council Chambers, St. Kilda, on Bth December, 1927, th e following Resolution was passed;— WHEREAS the sum of £SOOO borrowed by the St. Kilda Borough Council is due on the, 10th day of January, 1928, AND WHEREAS the sum of £SOOO is required to pay off the said loan, NOW THEREFORE the St. Kilda Borough Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and of every, if any, other power in that behalf, HEREBY RESOLVES by ..-ay of Special Order: — 1. To borrow the sum of £SOOO for the purpose of paying off the said loan. 2. That the said sum of £SOOO shall be payable on the Tenth day of January, One thousand nine hundred and fortytwo, or such earlier date as may be determined by the council. 3. That the security for the interest and' sinking fund and repayment of the said Special Loan of Five thousand pounds be a Special Rate of Threeeighths of a Penny (gd) in the pound (f) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation roll for the time being in force in the Borough of St. Kilda, in addition to the liability of the Corporation of the Borough of St. Kilda and its assets generally for the purpose of debentures and coupons issued in respect to such loan. 4. That a Sinking Fund of Five Pounds (£5) per centum per annum shall be provided in connection with the said 5. That the corporate seal be affixed to all such debentures, and that all such debentures and coupons be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the Borough Treasurer, but so that their - respective signatures to the coupons may be lithographed on the coupons. 7. That it is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan. AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GxVEN that the foregoing Resolution will be submitted for confirmation as a SPECIAL ORDER to a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held on the 7th day of JANUARY, 1928.
