CHRISTMAS SERVICES.

At First Church special services will be held on Christmas Day. Dr Herrington’* subject in the morning will be “ We Beheld Mis Glory.” In the evening the sermon is entitled “The Divinity in the Manger and on the Cross.’ Mr Ernest M'Kinlay will sing “ Comfort Ye ” and “Every Valley,” from Handel’s “Messiah.’' Dr Galway will give an organ recital on Christmas themes after the serv ice.

The Rev. Wr Walker will conduct both services in the Central Mission, Octagon Hall, to morrow. At the evening service appropriate Christmas music will be rendered. The programme will include several gramophone selections from the “ Messiah,” sung by the Sheffield Choir, and Christmas hymns and carols. The evening subject will be “ The Gift of a Son.”

One hundred special slides showing incidents in the life of the Messiah will ba shown on Christmas night at the afterchurch service to be held in the Salvation Army Fortress. Brigadier Burton will give the connecting reading. The evening. service will take the form of an oldtime Christmas carol service, and the corps’ Silver Band and Girls’ Choir will rlav and sing Christmas carols. The Rev. 11. E. Bollhouse will conduct Christmas services in Trinitv Methodist Church to-morrow, preaching in the morning on “ What We Find at Bethlehem ” and in the evening on “ Christmas and the Homo.” At the latter service Mr B. C. Bellhouse will sing. The Rev. J. M. Simpson will speak on special topics appropriate to Christmas Day in St. Stephen’s Church—in the morning on “ The Wonderful Child ” and in the evening on “ God’s Last Appeal.”^ The services on Christmas Day in Knox Church, both morning and evening, will be conducted bv the Rev. E. 0. Blamires. The preachers at Weslev Church. Cargill road, (to-morrow will be the Rev. G. Peterson in the morning and the Rev. W. Bramwell Scott in the evening. Special Christmas services will be held in the Caversham Presbyterian Church tomorrow.

The (’veiling- service at the Hanover Street Baptist Cnurch to-morrow will be broadcast from 4YA. The Rev. 1-1. S. Tuckwell will preach on Christ s saying: “ If I had not Come.”
