INJURED IN MOTOR CYCLE COLLISION. (Peb United Pbess Association.) WAIHI, December 22. A collision between two motor cycles on the Waihi-Paeroa road at Karangahake this morning resulted in two Waihi youths —Frank Burt and Albert Aitken —being seriously injured about the head. Both were admitted to the Waihi District Hospital for treatment. BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR. (Peb united Press Association.; AUCKLAND, December 22. The body of a woman whose identity has not been established was found floating In the harbour near Victoria wharf, Devonport, this afternoon. It is thought' that the body is that of a young woman who disappeared from a ferry steamer on Thursday night last. The woman’s hat, coat, and umbrella were found on board. CAR FALLS INTO GULLY. (Peb United Press Association.) BLENHEIM, December 22. A saloon Austen car, driven by Mr T. C. Wilson, of Waimai, Huntly, and occupied by Mrs Gwendoline Wilson, aged 35, and their four children, all of school age, left the road in Redwood Pass to-day and crashed to the bottom of a deep gully, turning over several times and landing upside down. The car was proceeding from Blenheim to Christchurch. Mrs Wilson was extricated with difficulty from the car, and is now in the Wairau Hospital suffering from injuries to her chest and back and broken ribs. The remainder of the party fortunately escaped with minor injuries. The car was badly damaged. It was at this spot that two people were killed and five were injured two years ago. At the inquest on that occasion the coroner strongly recommended that a parapet should be erected at this spot, which he considered dangerous. HEAD INJURIES. Two men were admitted to the Hospital at 4.30 yesterday afternoon suffering from injuries received through falls. Robert M’Beath, aged 21 years, received injuries to the face as the result of a fall from the roof of a shed at the wharf, and James Watkins, aged 65 years, received injuries to the head through falling and striking a trolley while at work.
