BRITISH CAMEL CARAVAN
ATTACKED IN ABYSSINIA. DAMAGES PAID OVER. (British Official Wireless.) (Pres* Association —By Telegraph—Copyright ) RUGBY, December 21. Sir Austen Chamberlain was asked in the House of Commons what was the conclusion arrived at by the Court of Arbitration regarding the attack made by Abyssinian soldiers last June on a British camel caravan. He replied that the had fixed the damages at about £3600, and this sum had duly been paid by the Abyssinian Government. The court also recommended the removal of the Abyssinian officer chiefly responsible, and he had accordingly been dismissed from his post by the Abyssinian Government.
