COURSING.
The first annual meeting of the Otago Open Coursing Club was held at the office of Mr Divers last week, and there was a fair attendance, presided over by Mr W. Anderson, The secretary's report and balance sheet was road and adopted. The report showed that during the past season seven stakes had been successfully run off. and something like £SO, and trophies valued at £l4. had_ been distributed in prize money. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year;—Patrons, Messrs R. Groenslade and 11. Divers; president, Mr B. S. Irwin; vice-presidents —Messrs G. Ellison. C. Burrell, J. Hislop, W. G. Ellison. E. C. .Scott, AA', Little, Jar!; Little. C. anrl ,T. Marks. AAL Iloggan. G. I'. Prattler, AAL Still, J. Turnbull, and C. James; treasurer, G. Ellison; secretary. C.
