NOTES FROM ADDINGTON.

(Special to Daily Times.) CHRISTCHURCH. December 20. Most of the Canterbury horses which are to race at the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting have gone north. W. J. Toinkinson left this evening with Concliff, Dalrncny, Bell Harold, and the trotters Elzoar and Young Blake. The horses will have a day’s spell in Wellington and will go on to-morrow. R. B. Berry also went north to-night with Sea Pearl, Machine Gun, and Escapade. The two first-named are to start in the Auckland Cup, with Berry driving Machine Gun and R. A. M'Mdlan piloting Sea Pearl. Among the trotting trainers who left for Auckland to-night were F. Holmes, with Tom Thumb and Firebrand; J. Bryce, with Ahuriri, Kohara. and Money Spider; D. Withers, with Groat Bingen, Peter Swift, Great Actress, and Dolores; and C. Donald, with Jack Potts, John Mauritius, Auditrcss and quality.
