A special meeting of thc Tramwaymen’s Union yesterday morning and evening passed a resolution stating that as permission for passengers to stand on thc front platform of the cars was given on the general manager’s recommendation, thc union strongly protests against a notice recently posted in the depots forbidding motormon to converse with passengers under thc threat of thc loss ot good conduct holidays contained therein and requests thc genera! manager, with the chairman of the City Tramways Committee, to meet a deputation from the union not later than Wednesday to discuss the position.
