The annual distribution of prizes at the Otakou School was held on Thursday evening in the presence of a Large number of parents and friends of the pupils. Mr R. Morrison (chairman of the School Committee) presided. A lengthy musical pro gramme was gone through, items being contributed by the senior and mmor pupils and by Misses M. RuSsell and R. Russell, K. Ellison, U. Russell. H. Russell, M. Forsyth, Jean Bragg, _ Mary Morrison and Masters T. Russell, L Moore, L. Moore, and J. Kent, all of whom acquitted themselves most creditably, gaming the heartiest applause from the audience. At the conclusion of the concert supper wa s provided by the ladies of the district, and dancing was afterwards indulged m for a few hours. . .
