THE CHAMPIONSHIP GATHERING. ARRIVAL OF AUSTRALIAN TEAM. (Per United Jress Association.) WELLINGTON, December 20. Th e New South Wales and Victorian teams for the New Zealand and Australian Athletic Championships arrived at Wellington by th e Marama from Sydney today, together with the delegates of the Amateur Athletic Union of Australia and New Zealand to the Jjienni.ol conference of the Board of Control, and a number of other enthusiasts. With the Queensland representatives they make the biggest and strongest party of athletes that has ever left Australia for competition in another country. Accompanying them are Mr Coombes {president of the Union of Australia and New Zealand) and Mr Marks, M.L.A. (the hon. secretary).
