TAIERI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
COMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the committee of the Taieri Agricultural Society was held last night, Mr Peter Dow presiding in the absence of the president. The Secretary submitted a statement of the receipts and expenditure in connection with tho recent show. This was very satisfactory. It was decided to hold the social for the presentation of the cups at the end of January. The secretary of the Canterbury A. and P. Association forwarded particulars of th e ram and ewe fair to be held at Addington on January 26.—Noted.
