Three and a-holf million letters. 14,000 parcels, and some 100,000 telegrams arc said to have reached Lindbergh during the month following the conclusion of his flight across the Atlantic. One letter in every twenty contained what the charitable continue to call a “ poem,” specially written for, or dedicated to, the hero.
