THE MAHENO HOLD-UP
MEN RETURN TO WORK. VESSEL SAILS FROM SYDNEY. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Oopyrignt.) SYDNEY, August 30. (Received August 30, at 11.5 p.m.) A squad of police marched to the wharf whfcre the Maheno was moored to execute warrants against 49 strikers. The latter, at a hurriedly-convened meeting, decided to return to work, and the vessel sailed at 6 o’clock in the evening. The police state that the warrants will now be withdrawn.
