BRITAIN’S PUBLIC DEBT
LIST OF REPAYMENTS. (Press , Association—By Telegraph—Copy right.) LONDON. August 29. A Blue Book states that Britain’s tmbhc debt on March 31 was £7,622,945,000, of which £1.101,453,000 was external, in eluding £925,687,000 owing to America. Australia heads the list of repayments of unfunded debt for 1926-27 with £1,257,000 in respect of war. advances. New Zealand ia next with £346,000. Under the heading interest, etc., on war loans Australia paid £4,286,000 arid New Zealand £2,795,000. At present these countries have £85,572,000 and £29,997,000 in loans . respectively outstanding. There is £525,800,000 outstanding in funded allied war debts, including £270,000 from Italy, also £1,570,883,000 unfunded. including £842,969,000 from Russia. and £676,160,000 from France. The total funded and unfunded allied war reconstruction and other debts to Britain are £1,933,924.000. —A. and N.Z. and Sydney Sun Cable.
