(Received April 15, at 5.5 p.m.) The House of Commons voted 500,000 dollars for the purchase of a building for the Candian Legation at Washington.— A. and N.Z. Cable. BRITISH REPRESENTATIVE IN CANADA. OTTAWA, April 14. (Received April 15, at 6.6 p.m.) Great Britain may appoint a representative in Canada to act almost in the same capacity as the United States Minister in Canada, said the Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King) in the House of Commons. He added that the British representative would rank as a High Commissioner.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
