PALMERSTON FLOWER SHOW

(From Oub Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, March 3. The autumn show of the Palmerston and Waihemo Horticultural Association was held on Wednesday. The weather conditions were perfect, and there was a large attendance of the public. ber of exhibits was well up to the average. Messrs Hart and Perrett, who judged all flowers, shrubs, and decorative work, said that generally speaking the exhibits were good. The bowls of flowers -were very good, the colouring being effective and nicely blended. The decorated tables wore favourably commented on, and the? ladies’ hats were considered an outstanding exhibit. There were numerous entries in fruit and vegetables. The Palmerston School had a good and comprehensive exhibit, several entries from which gained prizes in competition in the open classes.
