(Received Feb. 11, at 11 p.m.) In the House of Commons Mr Churchill announced that the betting tax had yielded £548,000 to the end of January, and he estimated that it would bring in £1,500,000 by March 31. He admitted that it had reached expectations, and said he dm not think that the Budget estimate wnnld be realised for this part of the financial year.
